Open Letter to Amber Games

Since we've been advised by our law team to cease any communication with Amber Games until the court proceedings are over, we'd like to ask the players themselves to forward this message to Amber Games representatives.
It came to our knowledge that the people posting on behalf of Amber Games on their website of dubious legality published a news piece in an attempt to defame our company with accusations of hacking the users. It goes without saying, such aberrant behavior needs to stop immediately. We sincerely sympathize with those who have been affected by the hacks, since, you know, some of them we consider our users as well. We certainly don't want this situation to tarnish the reputation of Dark Swords as a whole.
If those "awesome" engineers employed by Amber Games go ahead and deploy an unstable server platform alongside with the out-of-date revision of game client which may have had known vulnerabilities, it is now absolutely the duty of theirs to sort out this situation and restore the belongings of affected users. Just like we did every time similar problems occured in the past. If you need assistance please feel free to contact our staff to help find the lost items and currency with the necessary tools such as log file analyzer.

While certain individuals are all talk and zero action we've been busy working on the game. A new client revision 1.2.8.0 is available which among performance tweaks and bugfixes also introduces the ability to handle Support Tickets directly in-game and also use Help Online support system to have a private conversation with the game admin. Tomorrow we have another event coming up: we expect to be able to share more details soon.

State of the Game

Good day.
Let us introduce ourselves: we are High Tower Entertainment. We’re the company which developed and continues to support this game and we also own the rights to the service and all associated properties, such as Dark Swords trademark. The contract to license the game with Amber Games was signed by a private individual who is no longer a CEO of our company and hasn’t been with us for a while. Moreover, the contract period expired substantial time ago no matter if Amber Games claims otherwise. In this circumstances we were forced to take over the service and continue supporting it on our own. Nevertheless we are in talks with Amber Games and other parties to sign another licensing contract.
We would like to dispel any rumors which have recently started circulating: we have no plans to shut down the server, nor do we have any plans to merge servers or user bases in the foreseeable future. There might be inter-server events such as tournaments coming up soon, though! Furthermore, we are the original and only developer and thus are able to provide a quicker turnaround to resolve the issues with the game and implement new features especially those suggested by our community.
So, what are we doing right now? Until the end of the week we plan to fully restore payment functionality and issue tracker system and start recruiting admin and moderator staff.
We are also preparing new events and promotions, and have a feature in the pipeline where players will be able to collect Prisms containing valuable potions and other consumables previously unobtainable by the players who did not wish to spend platinum on them. There are also new pets, quests and events, achievements, better "roll dice" system and plenty of other things coming up very soon.

Clan system changes

We've collected feedback from everyone regarding the clan and alliance experience and are ready to introduce the changes. Here they are:
- In the beginning of the month, clan authority is reset and becomes 500 authority.
- At the same time (beginning of month), the authority the clan has will be converted into clan experience with a coefficient of 3 to 1 (meaning 1 point of authority will equal to 3 points of experience);
- Every evening, if clan has more than 500 experience, it will gradually decrease to 500 points;
- If the clan has less than 500 experience, then it will restore to 500 experience every evening;
Clan war time-out has been decreased from 14 to 5 days.
These changes will take place on 1 April.
